As a bunny-groomer, I groom your bunny for you. Some people can do this themselves, but others, just like some cat and dog owners, prefer not to do it themselves or find it too difficult.
Grooming can be done at my home, or yours if you live close enough to me. I charge a flat rate, but I am willing to charge on a sliding fee scale for people who really can't afford it. My desire is that all bunnies get a grooming if they need it. It is so important to their health! If you want me to come to you, and you live more than 20 miles away from me, I charge a fee for the gas. See the fees page.

Grooming takes me from about an hour to an hour and a half for a regular rabbit. (Angora's and long-hairs require more time...sometimes 3-6 hours!) A grooming includes brushing and combing your bunny. It includes trimming the dirty fur off the feet and paws and in the groin area if it's needed, and checking the cuticles and trimming all 18 of your bunnies nails and filing them so there are no sharp edges, and cleaning out the scent glands. I check the ears and teeth as well.

If you have a bunny with maloccluded teeth, (incisors only), I can help you understand the problems having to do with that, and if the issue is minor, can trim and file front teeth. (There is a separate $25 fee for filing teeth.)I can also recommend a great dental vet (in my area of Southern California) if the problem is one where the teeth should eventually be removed. Some bunnies have maloccluded teeth that grow slowly and can be controlled with trims and filing, but others have teeth that grow so quickly that the constant trim/file gets stressful and they would be much happier and healthier having them removed.

I also do consultations  where I come to your home and see what your set-up is and help you with any issues you have with your bunny (behaviorally, nutritionally, etc) and I can tell you the best things to do for not only having a wonderfully happy healthy bunny....but for being a happy and satisfied bunny owner!
I also can help you with which foods are good and not and which hay is the best, and where the best prices are and what you need and do not need to have a happy bunny! I am happy to spend an hour or more talking to you about any bunny related questions you might have. A consultation is $20.
You can also come to my house and see the kinds of set-ups I have for my bunnies. I have had from 1 to 21 bunnies living in my home at once, and have come up with the fastest, best and easiest ways to care for them! I am always happy to share information with you!
